Wellness as a Lifestyle
Over the next couple of weeks, I'd like to talk about wellness.
A wellness lifestyle is a means, or way, of living that:
- Is oriented toward optimal health and wellbeing
- Is holistic- meaning it involves body, mind, and spirit
- Requires consciousness conscious and intentional decision decisions to engage in healthy behaviors and habits, while also cutting out and/or limiting negative, or harmful, ones
- Enables you to live life more fully in all areas
Which of these aspects of wellness resonates with you?
For me, remembering to make healthy choices is the toughest part of wellness. It took me way too long to understand the concept that my wellbeing was a choice- that it was up to me.
What would you add to your own personal definition of wellness?
WELLNESS IS A CHOICE!
Just as you can choose your level of wellness, so, too, can your personal choices make you decidedly un-well. It all comes down to your decisions.
Daily.
Weekly.
Monthly.
Yearly.
Moment by moment, over an entire lifespan.
Every choice you make in favor of your health and wellbeing empowers future choices, increases momentum, and strengthens your commitment to a lifestyle focused on wellness.
